5/6's new mantle and what we have done so far

We have started a new mantle and we are Underwater Archaeologists.
Underwater Archaeologists are people who find out artifacts about shipwrecks and other
things that have underwater for years and years.

I am in the analysis and conservation team alongside with Sian, Duncan and Mr Carpenter.
The analysis and conservation team are people who get the artifacts and clean them up
and analysis the artifacts to identify their age and use.

To start off our new mantle we did a little bit of drama.We pretended to be on a ship and we
were doing our usual jobs, then we were heading towards an ice burg.Courtney and Dylan were the guard dogs, Sian, Bethan and Hannah.P were cleaners and I was the captain and their were more characters, but I can't remember the rest of the characters.

Next we had a conference call from our boss, Mr Parks and he said to us:"Our money has started to go down, so I would like you to get into groups and do a display. On the display I would like you to put on it a model of a ship, two diagrams, a 3D drawn or not picture, some headings, a few paragraphs of writing, and if you want to you could add some facts or something like that. And that's what I would like you to do.So bye-bye."

As soon as we got this phone call we got into our groups and started straight away. In my group I had Sian and Hannah.C. We had to deiced who was doing which job. So I was doing the headings and diagrams, Sian was doing the 3D picture, and Hannah.C was doing the paragraphs of writing.

We have some good news mixed with some very bad news.And we hope we don't hurt your feelings.

A dangerous Situation

We used our experience in the Mantle to create a tense piece of writing....

Franctic, Ella couldn't keep her scream in her mouth for any longer whilst panicking around the old, creepy Safari Park. So then she screamed. She screamed so loudly that some of the small rocks around her trembled. Then Ella picked-up something, which she didn't know what it was. So she bite it. It tasted horrible and it tasted dirty. Ella thought it was an sweet before, but she knew it wasn't an sweet any more. Then she smelt, it smelt like elephant muck. But then she saw a shadow and the shadow was moving. What ever the shadow was, Ella knew it wasn't good.Then Ella heard a sound. It sounded like it was coming from over where the lions used to sleep. The sound was getting closer and closer. Then she saw the shadow getting closer. Ella heard a howling noise coming towards her. It sounded like the howl was coming from a mighty, loud wolf, but then she saw what it was, it was the most ugliest thing she had ever seen in her whole life. It had a face like, a badgers face getting squashed by a car tire. Its fur was ruff like, a cat got scared when a car nearly hit it. Its eyes were red as bright, gleaming fire. Its teeth could bite through as it bite through a bit of cage (which was metal), and it bit right through the metal.

About Matthew O' Sullivan and what we r doing about it

We have had lots of people that have gone missing, but we have had a teenager that has gone missing which we haven't solved yet.
His name is Matthew O' Sullivan, but his nickname is Bubba. He ran away when he was 16 years old and it was 5 years ago, so now he is 21 years old. One of Bubba's mates sent in this crime. Through Bubba's child-hood he has been changing his behavior. I mean like... well, let me tell you...
At first when he was young, his behavior was great. But when he started to get older he began to be naughty and very mean. He started to bully other children at his school. We think there is a reason for this behavior, let me tell you. We have got a story about when Spike and Bubba going to the Water Tower. And this is the story about them going to the Water Tower.
Bubba's Mum didn't care about where Bubba went, so one day Bubba went out with one of his mate called Spike, they were going to the Water Tower. So they got there stuff together (hopefully they have got all there stuff) and off they went. When they took there first step into the Water Tower it was dark, damp, smelt oily and Spike smelt bat muck because there were black, blind bats. Then Spike spotted a ladder, so Bubba and Spike climb up it. As Bubba looked down from the high distance he was at, he started to feel dizzy and felt like he was going to faint. But then Spike shouted to Bubba and said, "Come on hurry up." After five minutes Bubba finally finished climbing up the ladder.

What's been happening in 5/6's Mantle so far

Hi Alex Robet, again.

I have had an exciting day. Well, an exciting day more like an busy, because,well, let me tell you. We have received a letter from a man called Spike. Spike ha asked us to find a boy. In this company we have had many people missing, but we still have found the person that went missing. His name is Matthew O' Sullivan, but his nickname is Bubba.

I questions the suspects anf found out the most likely person was Deadleg, number three.

Begin to support conclusions,using reasoned arguments and evidence. Children are to back up there statements in their arguments with evidence.

Aboat me in our 5/6s Mantle

Hi, I'm Alex Bay.
I'm 28 years old (soon 29 years old).
and I have had 12 years experience.
I have two puppies, who are twins and they are called Beca and Buster.
My job in the company is caring and looking after the detective dogs and puppies.
My scariest crime has been when a 3 year old girl when missing for 1 and a half years. But after a few days we found her trapped in her parents boot,then gave her back to her parents.

Our company name is called Total Vision Detectives.
Our company has been on for 25 years.
Our crime that we are still working on is... well it's a long story, so lets cut it short.
There was a crime at the King Head's school. Somebody had stolen five trophies. The time of the crime scene was at 10.00am. There were four people who saw the crime, one was a art teacher, one was a 5 year old girl, one was a caretaker and the other one was a window cleaner.There were four witnesses, they were called Maggie, Dead-leg, BB West and Jake. We are still working on the crime.
